About the Press
Papua New Guinea University of Technology Press (PNGUoT Press) is the official publishing house of the Papua New Guinea University of Technology. Established to advance scholarship and knowledge dissemination, the Press supports the University’s mission to contribute to the intellectual, social, and cultural development of Papua New Guinea and the Pacific region.
The Press publishes peer-reviewed academic monographs, edited volumes, textbooks, conference proceedings, and works of general interest. Its focus spans science, technology, engineering, business, education, social sciences, and the arts, reflecting the diverse strengths of the University’s academic community. PNGUoT Press is also committed to preserving and promoting Papua New Guinea’s cultural heritage, languages, and creative writing.
Open Access Policy:
PNGUoT Press supports equitable access to knowledge. Selected works, particularly those of national significance or funded by research grants, may be published under open access licenses to ensure wide availability.
Editorial Standards:
All submissions undergo rigorous editorial and peer review processes to uphold international publishing standards. The Press welcomes contributions from both established and emerging scholars, and provides support for early-career researchers and first-time authors.

History:
PNGUoT Press was formally established in 2024 as part of the University’s commitment to establish a national academic publishing platform. It is one of the first university presses in Papua New Guinea dedicated to producing scholarly and cultural works that meet international standards, while addressing the unique contexts and challenges of the region.
Through its publishing program, PNGUoT Press seeks to make knowledge more visible, accessible, and impactful within Papua New Guinea, across the Pacific, and internationally.
